I had a case of insomnia today so recorded a little cover of Ja Da. It's a song in a jazz course I've been working though. I took some creative liberties, some came out ok others didn't but I thought I'd share.

Not the most exciting tune around, but I like the direction you're going. I think there was a commercial jingle based on this song - can't remember what it was. One observation: I'd work on getting a "fatter" more Jazzy tone. Usually just rolling back the tone knob a bit helps. Is that from the Frank Vignola 1-2-3 course?

I agree, not the most exciting but it is easily recognizable. It is for the 1-2-3 Jazz course by Frank Vignola. Frank has you doing the rhythms for 6 song before moving to the melody. I jumped ahead so it feels like I know a song, both parts. It's been my biggest struggle with jazz.
I was not sure about the tone, sometimes it sounds too 'muddy' not 'fatter' not sure there is a difference though. It was all done in a DAW with VST amps sims I can probably fix it or tinker some.
Bill Bailey is next...
Thanks for listening and the insight
