Uncertain when this was recorded but its a great version of this blues classic. I first heard this song on the Layla album and that version is my all time favorite. I’ve never heard an acoustic version that I really cared for until I found Scapper’s take on it. And, now that I think of it, this is probably the first time I’ve listened to Scrapper.
According to Wikipedia, he was shot and killed in Indianapolis, just when it seemed that his recording career was about to resume after a hiatus

Thanks for sharing that. It's a great rendition of the song. I've always known this one from Clapton's Unplugged CD, as I expect others have, too.
