I watch this girl's YouTube channel because she does a variety of woodworking projects and lo-and-behold, turns out she's a mandolin player! Well, now we've got no excuse for not building our own instruments

About 30 years ago I bought several books and plans on guitar building. Needless to say, like most of my ideas, I never did it. Too many specialized tools. However, a class like this seems to be the ideal way to try something like this. Maybe, in my next life.

Once in a while I'll think of getting one of those guitar kits, they're pretty cheap and would be a fun project. But of course, learning to play the guitars I've already got would be a fun project too

I looked at those kits as well, but i really suck at wood working. I did swap the tuners on one of my classic guitars. Lol

That's pretty cool, Jack. I thought I had really done something just to put some strap locks on my guitar...

I do well just re stringing 😂 Thanks for the reminder. It's been almost a year since I changed strings. I bought new ones about 5 months ago. Just haven't got around to putting them on yet.
