So, I took on a Truefire.com course entitled "Blues Expose" - it's essentially several blues tracks, both rhythm and lead parts.
I chose it to ensure I develop both my lead and rhythm work - I have tended to lean to one or the other at various times. That said, I completed learning the first track entitled "Slow Blues" and recorded it for your entertainment.
I will add, I have attempted to be as much "me" as possible in the lead stuff. It's not note-for-note accurate, but is how I felt I wanted to play it. I also added in the most recent thing I like doing when I felt like it (a slide up then down done quickly - an example location is at the VERY end of the lead part).
So, enjoy me playing both parts to "Slow Blues":

That sounded very cool, and you obviously spend considerable time polishing it - thanks for sharing that! I especially liked the walking bass-lines in the rhythm. The rhythm part was sometimes a little tense when you played full chords, try to relax even more. I would imagine the demo recording is very laid-back in the rhythm section for a tune like this.

Man that was excellent, like joachim really liked the rythm piece, and the bends all sounded spot on.
I might have to look for that course, i have an annual subscription i have been putting to good use lately.
Two thumbs up!

Very nice WPB, some very cool licks and tricks in there! I especially liked the part where the lead plays the same note over and over while the rhythm part climbs up the fretboard.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone - glad you all enjoyed it. It was fun to play and certainly the style of Blues I would like to be predominantly good at (as aposed to Texas/Rhumba/Latin/etc Blues).

I hear ya. I struggle with this. Speeding up is another thing I do. I used a metronome when recording the rhythm part to keep myself at a steady pace as there are no drums.
